BOX17 – General Warranty Conditions

These General Warranty Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the “Warranty Conditions”) are issued by BOX17 (hereinafter referred to as the “Manufacturer”) and apply to all BOX17 Phone Booths (hereinafter referred to as the “Products”). This document defines the scope of warranty, claim procedures, and the Manufacturer’s obligations. By purchasing and using BOX17 Products, the Customer accepts the terms described herein.

1. Warranty Coverage and Periods

1.1. The Manufacturer warrants that for all Products a spare parts warranty of five (5) years applies from the date of delivery as per the invoice. Within this warranty period, BOX17 will provide replacement parts free of charge for components that are defective due to material or manufacturing faults, and will deliver these to the end customer at no cost.
1.2. Installation of spare parts may be carried out by the Customer, by a third party appointed by the Customer, or by BOX17 for a separate fee. BOX17 does not cover installation costs unless expressly agreed in writing.
1.3. Any spare parts supplied under this Warranty remain covered for the balance of the original warranty period only.
1.4. The Warranty is valid only if the Products are installed, used, and maintained in accordance with BOX17’s guidelines under normal indoor office conditions.

2. Scope of Warranty

2.1. The Warranty covers only defects resulting from manufacturing faults, defective materials, or poor workmanship.
2.2. The Manufacturer’s obligations under this Warranty are limited to the free delivery of replacement parts. On-site repair or full product replacement shall only be carried out at BOX17’s sole discretion where a spare parts delivery is not feasible or appropriate.

3. Exclusions and Limitations

3.1. The Warranty does not cover:
  • Normal wear and tear, natural fading, or aging of materials.
  • Damage from misuse, negligence, accidents, or abuse.
  • Defects caused by failure to comply with environmental guidelines (15°C–30°C / 40–65% relative humidity).
  • Damage caused during installation work not carried out in accordance with BOX17’s installation instructions – regardless of whether installation was performed by the Customer, BOX17, or a third party.
  • Modifications, alterations, or repairs using non-original parts.
  • Damage caused during relocation or disassembly not following BOX17 instructions.
  • Warranty claims are not valid for any reimbursement of unacquired income, indirect losses, or profit losses.
3.2. Customers are obliged to inspect the packaging and the completeness of the delivery upon receipt. Any visible damages or missing elements must be documented in a written protocol signed at the delivery. If such a protocol is not prepared, warranty claims for transport damages cannot be accepted.
3.3. The Warranty excludes any and all claims for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, operational downtime, or business interruption.

4. Warranty Claim Procedure

4.1. To assert a claim under this Warranty, the Customer must notify BOX17 in writing within fourteen (14) days of discovering the defect.
4.2. The notification must include:
  • A copy of the purchase invoice
  • Photographic evidence of the defect
  • The Product serial number (located on the identification label, which can be found either beneath the doorstep or beneath the magnet cover at the ceiling under the door frame)
  • A description of the defect and – where relevant – details of the installation work carried out.
4.3. Claims shall be submitted via email to info@box17.com.
4.4. BOX17 will acknowledge the claim within five (5) working days and, if validated, arrange dispatch of the replacement parts within fourteen (14) working days or another mutually agreed period.
4.5. A warranty claim does not give the Customer the right to withhold payment for the products which are subject of a complaint. The warranty can only be applied once the products are fully paid for according to the agreed terms.
4.6. In the event of defects, the Manufacturer will provide spare parts or carry out repairs. The Customer agrees to assist with minor repairs, such as installing a spare part using a screwdriver.
4.7. Due to physical factors, moving components (such as glass doors) typically require fine-tuning and readjustment after a certain period of time. As the Manufacturer cannot control local site conditions (user handling, relocation of the Phone Booth, floor stability, etc.), such maintenance services are generally not covered under the Warranty. However, the Manufacturer is obligated to provide adequate assistance in the form of telephone support, manuals, or instructional videos.
4.8. Generally, complaints are evaluated based on the principle of proportionality if they can be rectified by the Customer itself.

5. Limitation of Liability

5.1. BOX17’s liability under these General Warranty Conditions is limited to the obligations expressly set forth herein.
5.2. Under no circumstances shall BOX17 be liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages.
5.3. BOX17 reserves the right to inspect the Product and determine the appropriate remedy.

6. Proper Use and Maintenance

6.1. Products must only be used indoors under recommended environmental conditions.
6.2. Avoid direct sunlight, excessive moisture, or proximity to heat sources.
6.3. Clean only with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth; avoid chemical cleaners.
6.4. Any movement, disassembly, or relocation must comply with BOX17 guidelines to maintain warranty validity. The same applies to the installation of spare parts: adherence to BOX17’s installation instructions is a prerequisite for maintaining warranty validity.

7. Governing Law

7.1. These General Warranty Conditions are governed by the laws of Poland, excluding its conflict-of-law principles.
7.2. Any disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of Poznań, Poland, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
By purchasing and using BOX17 Products, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to these General Warranty Conditions.
